You shouldn't have any problems with those tyres IMO, you might want to consider 225/50/15's aswell.

Tyre Bible

Have a look here, especially approx half way down the page - this will give a comparison between the 2 sets of tyre sizes...

I ran 215 50 15's on my standard rims. Did tramline slightly on heavy cambered roads. Now running 215 45 16's with no tramlining :? and about to stuff on 215 40 17's.

I found the 215 50 15's a hard size to track down. Its uncommon. Think the standard 185 size is 205 50 15 which a more common sized tyre, from deduction I think the UK + CS/RC's use 215's :)

So in summary.... thats not helped you one iota has it mate :(

I seem to remember Goodyear, Continental & Toyo done the 215 width when I was looking. Any tyre dealer worth his rubber should have no problem sorting you them out. Also if its any help I have a set of 4 original 15's in good nick with rubber you can have for nowt, tyres are "just about" legal, thats providing your prepared to drive down to the smoke and collect em me old china
