hey all, just a quick question realy on mot's and the cat.

recently i took the cat out and replaced it with an aussie dp and was wondering if i will fail the mot because of no cat? i beleive that a few people have said that their gt4's have gone through the mot with no cats too so was wondering if i will need the cat back in for mot or ok leaving it with the aussie pipe... its a 94 plate JDM model if that makes any difference

You'd be very lucky to pass the MoT emissions test unless you find a 'friendly' MoT tester

Fitting a "sports cat" is also an option? Think a few guys have fitted one?

SOme of the aftermarket exhaust manufacturers, (decent ones), cna weld in a removable cat and provide you with a straight pipe so that you can exchange the pipe/cat when necessary :)

The Aussie cat is in the flexi section not the downpipe

I wouldn't recommend it whole heartedly though. It's about an inch too short to be up to their usual standard of fitment
