IN the next week i'll be removing the rad to replace a few bits and add some new ones.
Should i look to flush the water cooling - and hows it done, also what's the best solution to use. I currently use toyota red, i've had a quick look around the web and checked out nanofluids - but i see that's well beyond my purse - well me misses purse actually

Probably worthwhile flushing the cooling system...

Disconnect top and bottom rad hose and remove thermostat. Put heater on max heat and shove a hosepipe inside the rad pipes.

Reverse flush first (bottom hose), and then top hose.

And before some pervert mentions the drain plug on the rear of the block, forget it exists unless you have weird shaped double jointed bendy arms :)

Rob, check out this thread for guidance on flushing the rad

http://gt4dc.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php? ... ator+flush

To do the job properly allow at least half a day. Its amazing the amount of garbage that you can flush out of the engine.
