Just taken the 4 out for a test run and it went fine for a while - then when boost comes in the noise from the exhaust is BOOMING.. i check for leaks and there appears to be a hole in the rear can, on the inside towards the middle of the car - could this really be it?

I hope so - the turbo is making good boost and comes in really quick

Sounds reasonable to me Robbie :)

Surprising what a difference the silencers make in the exhaust

Erghh, have you just fitted a DP? You may need to get your exhaust re-jogged as DP's are typically 5-10mm too short and cause the exhaust to be in hard contact with teh underside of the car.

Otherwise - yes hole before silencer = noise of a meteor engine running on a mix of diesel, water & grass (multi-fuel engine in tanks)

yep - that was the problem... all fixed now!
I'm amazed at how much difference the stage 3 turbo has made, authough the boost controller settings were left - it's having a job controlling the boost. I'll need to revisit the settings later..

Big grin now though :-)
