you can bin the charcoal canister, you dont get any fume smells either, ive binned mine, and 2 other uk 185s also, all without any issues.

The Nipple on the top of the charcol canister for JDM cars with no EGR goes directly to a 4mm pipe which is bolted to the top of the intake manifold, which then runs along the top, where it connects to a 4mm vacuume hose (2" long), which connects to the nipple on the top of the TB.

I binned my canister.

I just took some 6 or 8 mm vacumme hose, about 8" long, from the metal hard line on the firewall, to the oneway check valve which is press fitted through the chassis, into the fender.

Just pull the check valve out, flip it around do it nolonger brings fresh air in, but sends it out, and re-press into its rubber grommet in the chassis. This will allow the fuel vapour to vent into the left hand wheel well.

There is also a metal vent line that runs from the bottom of the can, down along the chassis next to the large opening for the steering linkage, and it sticks out the bottom of the car by the lateral cross member.

Its about 1 foot long, and is held to the car with 2 10mm bolts i believe.

Now i just need a vacuume cap for that vacuume line to the TB.
