hey all,
does anyone have a how to oon changing the brake pipes and fuel pipes front to rear. searched and got a little info. does the BGB online manual tell us??( celcatech forums)

got all the pipes from main stealer yesterday, gone into the garage today.

is it a half the car apart job??
i read earlier that toyota fit them at the start so no issues with having to remove other parts. and a couple of people say it is fairly straight forward.
btw i am not doing it the garage is. although they sya they have never done a gt4 before.

thanks

Hi,
The fuel lines definitely run teh full length of the car and from briefing looking into it it looked like a PITA as the pipe travels from under the fuel tank area all along the car to teh fuel filter/return pipe.

I suspect brakes would be the same.

I would buy some KY jelly m8 - it helps the fist go in easier.

It's likely to be a bit of a pain in the harris but if the thing is up on ramps it might not be that bad

As ever it will depend on what bolts round, which ones sheer etc etc. I have a suspicion that the rear subframe would have to be removed to do it correctly as well as the fuel tank

If things go badly then it's worth carefully checking the condition of what's there to see if the new pipes can be used as repair sections on the old. It's not the correct way to do it but brake pipe compression fittings are available to join pipes and providing they are done correctly there's no issue (in my book) with using them

A certain amount of suck it and see is required. It should be relatively simple but we'd all be drivinf Ferraris if we had a quid for every simple job that went bad
