seems that the age off corrosion rust all play an active roll destroying axle flange trueness.

factory spec is 0.07mm which in my book is a tad higher than you want when using large diameter disc.

without dial gauge its impossible to check for . general rule of thumb if is rusty its probably got some degree of deviation not seen many that does not follow this rule .

older they are worse it becomes.

in general values detected range from 0.03 to 0.06mm at best extrapolating towards disc diameter one can start to understand the problems associated when running large diameter brake disc's or just ST205 brakes to start with.

what can be done, well unless you have the hardware for correction nothing except replacement which will require new wheel bearing per corner . more expense probably costing near another grand for correction to all four corners.

problem is not just on toyota anything with a number or years on its side will have a similar problem just i don't know anywhere that sales replacement units for sensible money. if anyone knows of a suppler thats cheaper than Mr T please post.

other brands replacement under £30 per unit, a rear unit for 185 £135..

good luck stay safe

I'll hold my hand up to that

I never even DTId stuff as I'm not really prepared to deal with the consequences

Like you say the best solution is to replace old with new genuine but it's expensive. I just clean thoroughly and hope for the best

I guess a good surface grinder should be able to correct minor deviations too.

I suspect that decent NSK bearings could be sourced for sensible money but the seals are not cheap from Mr T :(

Koyo (IIRC from my investigations) made the seals but they're not listed in their product range. I suspect it's supply to Mr T only stuff
