Just replaced the old style regulator with the new modified one...

Looks like Toyota may have found a problem with this?

Note that the old regulator has the inner shaft cracked off from the seat

On the new regulator the hole in the side has been drilled out

Seems silly not to imho :)

Both the gasket and the regulator are ~£25 from Toyota, which is surprising!

15310-88460 - Regulator
15318-88460 - Gasket

Good move going with the MoteC! If you want to compare notes on maps, settings etc. give me a shout. Who's doing your mapping?

BTW Kris good info on the oil pressure regulator.

Will do don, wont be until mid part of next year when it all comes together, the "build" is including several upgrades at once all requiring custom fitting in alot of places.

I was thinking of getting fennies to map it to start with then was thinking Bob Rawle of BR developments.

not sure yet, to far in the future.

Sorry ive broken posting rules and gone off topic. Ill post this as the start of a new thread :D

Its down near the oil filter, between the filter and the oil return from the turbo.

Really easy to change aswell :)

For 50 points

Of the holes above the filter i believe there is a place to tap a oil temp sensor (as i will be running an oil cooler sandwich plate i wont be able to use my greddy one to watch temps)...Which hole should be tapped???

Mat - you can use any of the available 3.

I think you will need an adaptor to go from probably 1/8NPT pressure sensor thread to the sump

Just picked this up, the new style oil regulator has been
fitted in the Batmobile for over a year now (following your good advice Kris) with no probs and has has about 4RR @7K+, several strip runs, and a trackday to test it out.

Cheers AND THANKS .Nigel C
