guys, getting clutch put in (os geiken twin plate clutch flywheel combo) and doing numerous other things...ive been wondering about squeeking etc. and my mechanic just called, the susp. is gone beyond gone ahhahah

ive ordered the lower arms all brand new toyota, but what should i do for struts, im thinking all brand new toyota with all brand new top mounts (toyota also) or can i get cusco pillowball top mounts and use them with stock oem superstruts etc.?

its probably not workth buying coilovers im guessing, i drive the car mainly for winter snow (But currently all year round as my summer car needs a rebuild) i dont want to drop 1400 on BC coilover setup and then 2 years later have a blown strut i cant repair...thats why i think OEM struts with maybe slight drop would last much longer

thoughts? have you guys found that used struts last long?

For your use I think the OEM setup would be fine, I wouldn't bother with the Cusco topmounts myself.

You could look into the KYB struts which I believe are slightly uprated.

I've been running KYB Super Street four point adjustable front struts and OEM springs (previously TRD springs which give a slightly lower ride height). The KYB's are better finished than the equivalent TRD 4 point adjustable struts and I would recommend them to anyone who uses their Four as a daily drive with occasional track or fast road use. I had to import them from Japan. If you don't want to go this far the OEM struts should be OK.

Wasn't there some non-adjustable KYB's floating around a while back, sure I remember Fensport selling them.

i run the kyb excel g front shocks on tein springs, ride is hard and very precise for none coilover shocks and would definately reccomend it.

gab 4 way adjustables on the rear make it a nice ride with making the car oversteer when pushed hard

I can recommended GAB or KYB 4-way adjustable shocks with TEIN or TRD springs.

As a matter of interest what settings do you use on your GAB 4-ways?

on track i run them on hardest... setting 4 as this seems to suit my driving far better and promotes the rear loosing grip and i get good power on oversteer.

on the road i use setting 1, 4 is too harsh for roads near me
