Clamps - the top rad clamps have always had a rubber material between it and the radiator

Coolant - yes I would recommend filling the rad with forlife :D

Standard toyota top rad. mounts IIRC.
There should be like a rubber matrial between.....on most older cars it perishes.....they are supposed to be shock absorbent to a certain extent.
My MR2 mk1 was 19 years old and they were in perfect condition....due to the ultra low mileage it had.
Wedge some thick paper or card in place perhaps......or a strip of rubber from something...?

Forlife premixed from Mr. T I went for......drain at the thermostat housing too, drain the rad. refit and fill. watch out for the awkward thermostat housing bolts/studs......fiddly and a PITA to undo/tighten.

Find some suitable material to use Lee and fix it to the clamp.....save you time and £££......alternatively pop along to a scrappy and see if there is another car with similar brackets.

I say the scrappy as they are almost a universal part....same part used on many models so you should come across a half decent pair sometime.

Not 100% sure on this comment?

Whilst they all look very alike, i can tell you for fact that the 165 ones do not fit the 205, and we shall see later this week if the 165 ones will fit the CS!

I might take off one of my 205 ones to test on the CS too, just for comparison.

Lee, Might be worth giving Ian Smith at the Toycentre a call he's always
got a few engines in various breaking stages they must have had rads.

Cheers Nigel C.
