Morning all,

I've had some drop links in my fleabay watch list for ages, some people here and over at CCUK have recommended and said they are fine. I'm just a bit concerned that TCB are £59 each and the fleabay ones are £25 a pair. Is there likely to be a compromise on quality?

I can't imagine they'd sell anything dangerous but obviously want them to last.

Thanks in advance,

Bret

This is an interesting one.

I've just replaced the rear drop links on my car for some eBay cheapies but the rears are under £10 for the set. I figured if they fail quickly I haven't lost too much.

I was planning on doing the same for the front ones. As long as they last half the time of TCB ones you'll still be ahead.

In that case I shall put my faith in the club and purchase a pair

I'm not too shocked about anything SS related from a cost point of view... Apart from the lower control arms, jeez they're expensive!

I do know someone who had one break on the way home from the MOT he'd fitted them for.

The TCB price you're quoting is genuine Toyota, the cheapies are £15 each front, £9 rear and I've had some on for about 30K miles now with no issue. TCB are very good at sourcing good quality stuff, and quickly discontinue items if they start coming back.

I fitted a set of Ebay ones front and rear when I fitted the Jspeed shocks and they have done about 15k before the car came off the road, they are still on the car and still look and feel OK. Dorris
