Hi,
Are the raiser blocks on the 205 supposed to have rubber cusions? Mine rattle on bumps and in 3rd grear at very low revs.

Ive takes them off, cleaned out all the crap and put them on nice and tight.
I couldnt do them to tight as the base that they screw into are hollow and flexible...

Any ideas?

Just had a thougth, I took the wing and blocks off in one but didnt separate the blocks from the spoiler. I could be that that slightly loose...
How do you remove the block from the wing?

On mine, some of the bolts have come loose betwen block & spoiler. From memory, there are holes in the bottom of the block allowing access through to the spoiler screws.

just confirmed, its the raiser block to the bootlid that the rattle comes from....
What do you recommend to jam in there to take out the slack?

How are the spoiler/riser block seals that sit between the block and boot lid? You could install fresh seals to pad things out a bit... mine are mushed and need replacing at some point.

76881-20090 and 76882-20090 are the parts you need. Those are foam parts that goes between the bootlid and the raisers

That's great dude! Where about's did you buy the seals from please? I tried Toyota and was told them can't get them due to the blocks being an optional extra, so the seals aren't available!

Thanks!

Last I checked one side of the foam spacers isn't available anymore - you can get round this by using the same one both sides one the right way up the other upside down, but they should be available from Toyota Parts Desk.

Need to find a local friendly one, some are hopeless. My local one in Sandhurst used to be a real battle as they wern't really interested, now there are a couple of guys that work there who are really interested in the car, one is a real petrol head and makes regular trips to the Nurburgring. They are both quite happy to trawl through the parts catalogue for me and find the bits I need. :)

Ah I see... will have to try and push them to look a bit harder! The one I've been using is Guildford Toyota. Maybe I should give Sandhurst a try. Thanks very much :)!

The one at Slyfield Green, Guildford is the same company - Inchcape but I've never found them to be as helpful as Sandhurst. I know Don gets good results from the Guildford one though.

I used Inchcape Toyota a couple of weeks ago but I had some printouts from the EPC with me so I knew exactly what parts I needed. The annoying thing is they have taken the parts catalogue (EPC) off the counter and put it in the office round the corner so the guy had to keep trekking back and forth as I asked questions. Previously he could rotate the screen and I could point out the parts I needed. They've also given 15% discount when I asked for it. not sure if this is still the case as I think parts for all the older cars i.e. more than 10 years old, are all listed at a lower price anyway?

Thats annoying about the computer - Sandhurst also have it on the counter so we just go through the screens together. Still having the printouts should help them alot.
