i have a wee problem, i loose a bit of water maybe a kettle full a month. I haven't got contaminated oil and i had the engine rebuilt with steel headgasket by (guru) ian about 9 months ago.

The car doesnt leave wet patchs on the road when parked or steam from rad or hoses, i cant think of where it is going any ideas chaps

also can the heater matix be bled and would having air in there cause more loss

What colour is the top of your radiator?

The reason I ask is that they tend to discolour with age and then are very prone to leaking...

Steve, in worst case senarios, i have seen them go past brown to a grey/white colour!

Can't remember who it was, but once at a meet someone actually split their rad along the top literally by running their fore finger along it with next to no pressure!

The top gets very brittle and can seep so you may not notice any evidence other than water loss.

Some people are like a Slinky .. Not really good for anything, but they make you smile when you shove them down the stairs!
