Hi guys and some help please...some of you may know that I am having problems with the CS and I was trying to find if anyone had a clue as to what is going on!!!
Last month I was having cold start problems, now I have stalling at low revs and a *bleep* to restart. MartinK suggested the temp sensor in the water elbow so I poked about there (after ordering one 89422-20010) only to find that the other sensor (start injector time switch) is fractured and flopping about (89462-20040) I am desperate to know 1) if a broken CSI switch would cause flooding at low revs (also I am sure the fuel pump runs when she is warm with ignition on, not started) and poor starting and 2) where to get one???
It feels like it is working in reverse!!! under fueling at cold start and overfueling when hot ???
Any help would be great ta.

I would guess if it's broken and flopping about, it could be intermittantly going short circuit / open circuit It could potentially also be shorting ECU power supply to ground causing chaos.
Try unplugging it once warm to see if the car behaves ok.
TCB supply them (new or secondhand), but they're not cheap from memory.

If that's not the problem, I would try looking for vac. leaks, especially the intake pipe from afm to turbo as these tend to crack along the corrugations of the flexible bit and are hard to spot.

cheers guys. I have no leaks...
I have ordered a used one (89462-20030)from the USA on Ebay ... only $16 +$5 so... I wait for delivery!! Not a 89462-20040.... I hope it is ok?
My fingers are not delicate so I would struggle to 'unplug' the little barsteward....
I tried TCB but they only seem to have the temp sensor (89422-20010) at 20+vat so I have ordered one from Ireland at 18E's inc..
I bloody hate cars :)
My Kia failed MOT with holes in floor!!!!

Surely the Kia is just fitted with the optional performance propulsion holes

Did they not realise this is how you get it to move while in the drivers seat ?

PErsonally I'd just unplug the CSI feed for a while and see if that's the cause (assuming it's not leaking of course). Never had a problem starting mine from -10 to +30 without the CSI in place.

Thanks coyoteboy but the problem has worsened since replacing the sensors... I have more flashing lights, clicks and buzzes than I can shake a stick at!!!
Analysis seems to be a fkd ECU which is away to Nibbles for checking as I type.
Cheers anyway.
