Won't the subframe fit in your bath tub Don? Put it on its side and turn it over on Wednesday.

Does this stuff also remove rubber remaining after removing bushings etc? Or do you need to put everything in 'as clean as possible'?

It only removes rust. It doesn't have to be spotless, but anything painted or coated in rubber etc will remain untreated.

The front subframe rarely needs any rust treatment due to the oil mist from the engine 'protecting' it. This was certainly the case with the 'exchange' subframe I delivered to Mike. The rear subframe needs the full media blast and powder coating treatment. I think it should be possible to do the diff carrier components as they are small enough to fit in one of my plastic storage boxes used as a bath.
