my speedo cluster has definitly gone kaput...its an import and limited to 120mph ... therefore speedo only goes upto 120mph

tried my m8s speedo n it works fine in my car

if i get another speedo cluster...how do i alter the mileage so it reads the same pls?

tried moving the numbers up n down but no luck...theyre kind of locked in position

I'm not sure you will have much luck - getting the figures to line up would likely be really difficult.

I personally wouldn't bother - just keep the old speedo as evidence of the swap for if you ever sell the car on.

I have just reset a cluster, the numbers are a little fiddly to line up, but it is possible, the whole cluster comes apart and you can pop out the numbers and move them about to the correct mileage, then pop them back in again.

Its also worth getting some cotton buds and warm water and giving the numbers a clean, it sounds a bit anal, but in makes them so much clearer.

I've done a couple now. The spindle of numbers pops out, the difficult bit is getting them back in correctly, it takes a few attempts. Set the milage a few short so you can wind it on and check the numbers click on correctly before you get to the correct milage.
