thats it lowest setting, should be lower than 10mm. Did they come off a gt4? Could it be drop link knocking? Are top mounts nice and tights?

when I 1st fitted my bc coilovers I hadnt set any pre-load on the springs and when hitting bumps the and the suspension when off load then the spring would rattle on the perch. I re-set them to 20kg pre-load and never had the problem again.

I hope im right with this, sure someone will correct me if im wrong!!

Take the wheel off

the ring (spring perch) that the spring sits on is on the damper thread, slacken it until the spring can rattle around on the damper.

now hand tighten it against the spring to remove any clearance

Once hand tight, use c spanners to tighten further (its all dependant on spring rates, with 5kg/mm rear springs you need to tighten the ring 4mm up the damper to achieve 20kg pre-load)

Ive got 8kg/mm springs on the front so the maths is crap and I ended up doing 2.5mm up the damper

obviously if you want a different pre-load then change the amount you tighten the spring perch

Marcus

right.
the springs dont reely rattle around as the helper springs sit it in nicely
i have the thread right at the bottom of the shock and all round theres about a 10mm drop all round am i right in thinking that as i raise the thread the car gets higher?
ive got a rotational noise coming from the front passenger side. :-(
on the plus side i took it for a test drive and its reely good

Mostly when I get a rotational noise after tw@ing about it's due to a bent backplate rubbing on the brake disk

yea, if you screw the damper out then it should raise the ride height. A picture would help here.

As two oh five said, maybe its just something like dust guard
