My 1996 GT4's fuel flap has always needed a good tug on the lever by the driver's seat to get the latch to release, but lately it getting more and more touch and go as to whether the lever breaks or the flap opens. Can anyone tell me if there is any adjustment on the mechanism and, if so, where I can find it?
Thanks.

This is not uncommon. I have similar symptoms but find that the flap unlocks OK however, it doesn't spring open you have to flick it open on the back edge. Until I discovered this I was panicking! I guess the spring is lazy. Loosey also had a similar problem so it would be worth doing a search on her posts to see how she fixed it.

it can be adjusted on the actual black pin bit inside the fuel cap i had a similar thing wherby i had to jam a screw driver under the lever if i was on my own then go outside and pull it to open, it works fine now its simply a big nut that turns making it slacker or tighter it was a while ago so cant remeber if i had to strip inner boot or wheel arche panels to get behind it or not but it is definatly possible to adjust
