it may be an ecutek ECU by the looks of it. No idea who maps it in the UK if anyone. It may be like the other piggy back ECUs and locked to the mapper.

may be worth trying Ecutek just incase to see if it is theirs

Yeah thanx figure was something to do with jspeed it's old I had car 10 years straight from Japan wondered why I'd never hit fuel cut :-D

Ok update no running issues at all but im still getting an occasional check light ghosting on and off do you think it may be a track prblem chris had a good look repair is sound but to be fair eyesight not as good as it should be anymore lol

Just noticed this so I'll answer here rather than pm in case someone else has any knowledge.

Since there are no other symptoms, I'm just wondering if the ghosting engine light is related to the piggyback board giving an indication. e.g. the Apexi ECU flickers the engine light when it detects transient det.

I'm happy to pop in for a cup of tea next time I'm down that way and have a quick look and measure of other tracks nearby, but I'm not certain there's a problem.

Ideal thanks never had trouble before with piggyback had car 10 years i see some mr2 owners having problems with capacitors too got a few ecus here may open them up just to have a look see if they look danaged

well just to put an end to this car cutting out was solved thanks to nibbles ecu repair we checked a few plugs wiring and earths an now have a code 52 again swapped knock sensor with a known good one and fingers crossed all ok so maybe just dodgy sensor no more ghosting no more codes there is light at the end of the tunnel
