Spike - why, what's the problem?

There are a could of articles on pump bearing replacement on www.gtfours.co.uk

Failing that I have a "spare" CS pump that will fit your car no probs :D

Hi Chris,

Yeah you mentioned your site before, which i've checked out and has been very handy. I've already replaced the brushes and bearings. Problem now though is the wire coils round the pump have been damaged from what I can see. :(

So I would love to get my hands on that pump, :D

When can i get it, what would you like for it?

Might be worth chatting to mrbarry :? he's on the gt4oc too. I think he may, or may know someone who can re-wire the coil/s. Just a thought. Seen a alternator he blinged and remember him saying about wiring.

Good luck,

Tone

Tone - Many companies specialise in this service, they are easy to find e.g. Yellow pages etc

The guy I have used a lot in the past is just down the road from me...

Roy - this option is also available to you, depending upon a decision on price from me!

Sounds like another option :) but as you said depending on price from you ;)

But to be honest I don't want to spend any more money on trying to repair my old one. Mainly as I've noticed a few other problems, like the main bit round the shaft (technical words) has started to move as well. (Probably the main cause of all my problems in the first place) :(

Spike - the CS and 205 pump are the same. The differences lie in the wiring after the pump.

The image below shows a CS pump against a 205 pump, note that the part numbers are the same. :D

This means that you could get a 205 pump, cut off the wiring/connectors and then fit your CS connector?

Cheers Kris,

Thanks for the confirmation, I did try and win that one on ebay, but it went rather high on the bidding

Hi ya,

I do and I've still got the one from Kris, I'm waiting on a phone call from a mate, as I still might be able to get it one of them working

But out of interest what part you after? Sounds like we’re both in need of one
