My past experience of getting 'tracking' done at tyre places is that the tyres wore quicker and more unevenly than when I set it by eye sighting along the wheels front to back.

That was in the days back before the modern 4 wheel laser stuff though.

slight hijack of thread, but my 185 runs through tyres on inside edge, and am in process of buying new rubber on each corner then getting it all tracked and set up, so is there anything i can do to ensure this doesnt keep happening?

Why not try and convince your stylist.....er I mean boss.... To buy a stringing setup for his MX5 and diy the job. My experience with string and ruler has been positive

All the finest kit is great but can be completely undone by a Muppet driving it. The internet is full of bad alignments done with the best hunter gear

One thing I will say is it doesnt matter how good or expensive the equipment is if the person driving the aligning kit hasnt got a clue then its never gonna be right lol for example we have the balcolign kit scott is an absolute wizz with it, I can use it but he`s a lot quicker with it than I am so he does 90% of our alignment work and gets great results with it

haha, my stylist far to busy with ghd's to be looking into alignment. Well i shall give the alignment guys a go, as never been done before and see what results are. If tyres run down again i will just have to use different method.
