It actually has 2 depressions and 3 bulges, the worst depression is shown with bulges either side.

It also had seized brake sliders on the same wheel leading to a little brake drag. Just got those freed off and tyres swapped - now the ones that were on the front originally on the back.

Hmm, That looks nasty Chris.

I had a similar experience this week.....

Great big bulge in a rear tyre. I wonder if it is due to the high quantity of pot holes we have at the moment? I have only experienced this twice with tyres over the years and both have been with Avon ZZ3s - coincidence or indicative of carcase quality?

Anyway, this prompted me to finally buy some new tyres as these were last of my good tyres on spare rims.

I have now been running some Kumho Ku39s on the rear of the M3, I went for these as they seemed to have some good reviews on the M3 forum and were cheap enough to ditch if they were ditchfinders at £95 each as opposed to £245 each for the Michelin Pilot Sports. Initial impressions are very good, tread pattern looks very similar to the previosu generation Michelin PS2 I was running, the compound feels similar to hand touch as well and they so far proving to give lower levels of noise than the PS2 and good levels of grip, whether they perform to top level in the warmer dry summer I don't know yet and obviously can't comment on wear rate as yet.

My past experience of kumho tyres in general has been good and wouldn't hesitate if the price was right. I did find they tended to be a bit soft in the summer and would go off very quickly when pushed round a series of corners - not a tyre I'd use on track.

Funnily enough I have well worn 'toyo 350' on the clio I bought recerntly and they're not at all bad. No problems on exactly the same corners the proxies didn't like.

Well I finally managed to get my Toyo's to break traction and get a four-wheel drift on :D
Not so smart was the central reservation barrier that was coming up rather quickly
thank goodness for the magnificent Audi Quattro system :D
I should point out that this down to the fact that my tyres are rather worn and I was doing a bit of spirited driving

Interesting that JP as I was looking at the Kumho Ecsta Le Sport KU39's as replacements

£484 delivered on lovetyres that I used ;-)

Delivery took 3 days as they came from Germany.

They also have a fitting centre in hounslow if of use, I got mine fitted locally.

Let me know your thoughts on them with 4wd as I am intrigued how they would work on a gt4
