hi think ive got symptoms of the front wheelbearing starting to fail whirling/whinning getting worse with increase in speed but looking on prices. i see that at TCB they are £80 and generic £39 would there be any difference? (quality wise) as its quite a difference in price also out of interest, how long (labour wise) would it take for a garage to change |

It took a full day for an experienced GT-Four mechanic to do a front and a rear bearing on my ST205 but that was because the rear put up a bit of a fight. Personally I would fit either a genuine Toyota or a generic Blueprint bearing. Anything else I would suspect is made of finest Chinese chocolate |

Go for the Blueprint wheel bearing kit - you'll also need the seals as well as the bearing... |

I've got a couple of spare Blueprint bearings for my ST205 so I'll dig out the part number. Not sure about the seals Kris mentions? I don't recall buying them, only the CV rubber gaiter. |
