Hi guys I was just wondering what a hose on my 205 is actually for as I found it loose and not clamped on. It goes from the intake before the turbo to a black plastic box behind the engine. If anyone could let me know that would be great as I'm confused as to what it is for.
Also I checked my ignition timing today and it seems to be advanced two degrees. I find my car rather sluggish at times and wondered if this could be a contributing factor although I suspect retarded timing would be more likely to cause sluggish running. Thanks

And does anyone have any advice about my static timing being advanced?

You did check the timing with E1 & TE1 linked, and verified by checking the engine light was flashing ?

A common mistake is to either not use the link or to not make good contact and wind up setting idle timing at 10 degrees which is then 5 - 10 degrees retarded.

If the timing really is 2 degrees advanced, it should feel more responsive but you may get 'flat spots' where the knock control pulls timing to save the engine.

Yeh I did bridge the ports and ecu was flashing. I figured it should feel better but it seems to get more sluggish after a long drive which makes me think as you say that the ecu maybe pulls the timing. The only thing is that there is a little mark on the pulley that lines up with 10 degrees as if the previous owner has remarked it since the pulley had slipped or something so should maybe find tdc myself and check.
Is it likely that the ecu will pull timing permanently until the next drive or does it just pull it briefly?
Thanks
