| Post subject: | Brakes ticking |
Hi guys recently I have been experiencing a ticking noise every time I brake. When the brakes are applied I hear a repetitive ticking noise which I can hear from inside the car. It seems to speed up and slow down with the speed of the wheels rotation. Does anyone know what this might be? Thanks |

have you checked your brake pad thickness? It might be the wear indicators telling you its time to change the pads |

Yeh I have plenty pads left I think. It's not that kind of noise really it's more of a tick than a whine. Thanks though |

If it were me I'd whip the wheels off and check there's nothing stuck in the calipers which could cause the ticking noise. Spinning the hubs with someone pressing the brake pedal should also re-create the conditions and allow you to check each corner. I've also had wheel weights occasionally fouling the calipers so might be worth checking for any signs of contact. |
