Since getting the car running again after its major clutch surgery, I've had a couple of runs in it and it's running very lumpy and cutting out at idle. . There's a fair bit of smoke from the exhaust, and I also noted that the rad fans are running from the moment the ignition is turned on.. Probably in unrelated. The car sat for nearly a year. Checked for codes and nothing untoward, and filled up with some fuel to make sure the fuel gauge wasn't misleading,as is sometimes the case. So I'm thinking maybe a clogged injector, with sitting for so long? Any other ideas? |

thin boost pipe going to the boost sensor.. check that as that throws all kinds of wobblies. |

Could be onto something there... I noticed the ebc was reading some odd figures for boost level. Meant to mention that too. Would that affect idle though? Anyone have a good pic of vac lines layout so i can check easily? |

Problem solved! Had a poke about the vac lines, and the hose from the throttle body to a sensor mounted on the firewall above the brake master cylinder was not attached. Runs like a dream again. Thanks niblwttr... don't know if this is the hose you had in mind but you got me thinking along the right lines, so cheers! |
