You can always take your chances and put it back together in the reverse order it came apart  Personally I always try and do the job properly. It's the same principle as rebuilding a road car gearbox which also has helical cut gears. I wouldn't consider doing that myself unless I had the right equipment and the experience to use it (more of an issue!). A straight cut gearbox doesn't have the same issue as unlike with helical cut gears there's no longitudinal 'thrust' generated under load. for example with my Formula Ford straight cut or 'dog' gearbox I don't have to worry about pre-load when we strip the 'box to change the ratios. There's probably a better technical description somewhere on line but at least that gives you a basic idea.

Are you a brave guinea pig or have they been tested prior?... either way I'm impressed. I am still holding out on ordering bushes, as I haven't had the cash of late. Would be very interested to hear how the flo-flex feel in terms of quality as well as ease of fitting etc.

How much did you pay for the set out of interest as I need all of the bushes featured in your photo.

Mind you I had a spot of luck the other day with a genuine brand new diff mount coming up for sale @ £90, which is basically no VAT price at TCB, so I snapped that up.

I need to buy bolts etc too, but waiting for a few big bills to be settled first. 96st205 it would be good to hear a bit more background to your processes etc and what you did to refurb your subframe.

oh, I see, still a nice shiny subframe though :) Sorry to hear your build is slow progress. I have tried to keep the car rolling at all times, just so I can justify it to my family.

Well I just checked out there website/ebay/facebook stuff. Are they using your subframe for the promo shots? I just priced up the bushes and the whole bundle is about £250 ish which is reasonable, I plan to do a big refurb/freshen up of the underside in June, so I may take a gamble and buy the floflex ones. Mainly as my budget keeps getting chunks torn out of it by life.

Also worst case scenario, they're cr#p I will have the original subframe refurbished and I will simply order some tried and tested bushes from the usual suspects-by then cash flow should have improved.... (he says hopefully).

 Ah the plot thickens....

Perhaps it's time to make that short story long?? The DC likes a good tail of Pioneering efforts and new product development. :)

Your just teasing now lol... :o
I have to ask do you drink a lot of coffee before taking the photos or are you using a blackberry? I did some research into Flo-flex bushes, apparently they use softer/cheaper metals for the sleeves, which may not hold up to much abuse. The reviews online were not brilliant, are you in a position to give feedback that they will listen too? I think I will stick to the plan of saving up for genuine Polybush parts for now.

I also found an interesting read on the OC about a corolla AWD conversion where the builder stripped the diff in a workshop, it didn't look quite as terrifying as it sounds.

Will post up a few images when I have a moment.

All credit must go to GT4OC member AlanV of Donegal Ireland, for the Photos that I have borrowed to illustrate the diff rebuild process. Also Got some hints on where to buy the pink sealant-apparently directly from Toyota dealerships and TCB do the oil seals.

As regards flo-flex bushes, just ask mixer72 Aka Brooks Racing Developments about them, or indeed get genuine polybushes, but they don't yet produce rear subframe bushes for the GT4. However they have a catalogue of misc bushes on the website.
