Hi guys I just wanted your opinions before I start tinkering. For a while now I have found my car sluggish and I find this especially true at high revs.
I just wanted an opinion on what this could be. I'm thinking timing, exhaust leak, or boost leak.
I have recently set the timing so that should be fine (but no guarantees with me lol). Also I put on a decat downpipe which I think is possibly not sealed right despite all of my efforts to get it on right it's just a nightmare as I can only get an open ended spanner on some nuts.(it doesn't sound like it has a leak though. And boost leak is always a likely candidate so iv threw that in the mix.
Also just to mention it feels faster at part throttle(like 75%) than it does at full throttle. When I open up to full throttle the noise changes but it doesn't pull any harder at all if anything it bogs down slightly. This makes me think it runs too rich at full throttle maybe.
What is you guys opinions on this? What would you go looking for?
Thanks

Retrace your steps to when this started and what, if anything, you changed. If you can reverse each change in turn and test drive at each stage this could narrow down the search. The decat downpipe change might be the culprit. If you can't be sure of having tightened all the fasteners then invest in the correct tool. I've never had to do this job myself but the staff guys on here have described using a particular type of ring spanner to get to some of the nuts on the turbo flange

Yeh the exhaust has always seemed like the most likely candidate to me. If anyone knows what this ring spanner is can they show me. Is it a crows foot? With the little cut out.
I can't imagine being able to get anything other than a spanner on the front lower nut but I could easily be wrong I am no tool expert.
I like to think this is when it started but it's purely judged by seat of the pants so it could possibly be before and not be related to the work I did.
Let's start with that though eh lol. Thanks mate

Have you re-checked your EBC settings? Mine feels lack-lustre when the EBC set-up isn't right.
What figures are you getting for boost at full throttle, and is it stable?

It's a a blitz dsbc but using a 3 port solenoid. I'm peaking at about 1.18 bar according to peak hold and this settles to about 1.1 and holds pretty well I think. It's hard to tell on the daft screen but it does seem to hold fine

have you played around with the dizzy? What is the timing set at, could be retarded?
Also, have you checked for error codes recently and maybe left E1 TE1 shorted still?
