Hi guys. My flexi on a mongoose system (2.5") has just blown!!!
Was going on holiday, driving the CS but now I gotta prep the ST205 instead.
What a boogar.
Question? Do I pay 160+ and get a full section .... or???? get a repair section for 20? and pay 40? to have it welded in?
What do you reckon?
BTW the OC is down at the moment.... and.... not that I am biased... :)
I would have asked on there (800 members.... some local.... for help)
That's life!
Got to have a 'live' car by 2:00pm Sat 4th... ohoooo buogar
(ST205 has a battery drain problem... lasts 2 days and I will be parked up for 7!!1 )
Ta for any advise. off at like I said, about 2:00pm tomorrow.
Sorry too ask. Love ya all xx

If it were me (and it was a while back) buy a £20 flexi from ebay and weld it in. Even paying a pro it should cost much less than £140 for the welding.

Regarding the battery drain, disconnect the battery when not in use - problem solved :D

The most common cause of battery drain is bad rectifier in alternator. You can check by removing the big eyelet off the back of the alternator (& insulating, it is live) when you park up and see if the drain goes away.

If all else fails, drive the CS with a blowing exhaust.
