Any generic brands you might suggest?

This company claims to have an affordable 205 O2 sensor.

Anyone know the quality of their parts?

^^ is the link I posted on the last page

In all honesty I think any 4 wire zirconia sensor will work. Just go to your local parts store and ask them

Oops. Thanks. I didn't notice the link. I'll check with a local store and go from there.

Aha,

I tracked down the part numbers
These might at least give the parts store a place to start looking for alternatives

Lucas SEB124 is the sensor, requires SEB225 adaptor flange

Hope that helps

Part numbers are courtesy of Diceman who posted them a while back

I have one of the sap lambda sensors with the adaptor plate on my car, it has been on there for maybe 2 years and it has worked fine...

As Steve says need to cut off the old sensor from its plug and crimp on the new sensor - they supply the crimps

I have had one too for circa 3 years and was still working fine when I sold the car. was circa £14 for adaptor plate and £40 for sensor.

Thanks all. I contacted them about the sensor and adapter. It is interesting the car on their main page is a st205. Nice to see a big company is a fan of the gtfour.

The hardest part about having a st205 engine in the states is the difficulty of locating parts. I thought having a my own EPC would help but the US dealers can not see most of the part numbers in their EPC, therefore they can not order the parts.

It looks like they are not setup to sell to US customers and they are not returning my emails. Any chance I can paypal one of you the funds to purchase it to me and ship it? I'll throw in extra for a pint. ;)

seriously dude,
Try you local Summit/Valeo/Pep Boys first. It's a generic 4 wire Zirconia O2 sensor as fitted to many many Toyotas and quite possibly most newish domestics. It will be far far cheaper than shipping one from the UK which is likely to sost near a hundred bucks with the current lousy exchange rate

I don't think I'll ever get over the fact that Pep Boys should be a pizza store. Pep Boys Pizza just sounds right

If it really comes to the crunch I'm happy to help if I can :D

So I looked around more on the Sap site and found that the universal 4-wire for a camry is the same as the 205. So maybe I can find an aftermarket one here for the camry to use.

Toyota Camry 2.2i 16v 6/91-7/96 Universal Oxygen Sensor(4 Wire - Zirconia) XLOS105 £33.42 0.5 No Notes 5SFE 2164

Toyota Celica 2.0i 16v 2/94-8/97 Universal Oxygen Sensor(4 Wire - Zirconia) XLOS105 £33.42 0.5 4x4 3SGTE 1998

Sounds reasonable to me... just make sure you get that damn adaptor plate for the sensor :)

The local auto stores are no help. The best suggestion they gave me was to run something called a universal cap to make the O2 sensor read the same all the time.

That doesn't sound safe to me. I am going to call SAP directly instead.

EDIT: If they would answer their damn phone.

EDIT X2: I found another email address on their site and this one gave me a reply to let me verify that I am not spam. So maybe this one will work.
