How did the interior of the door look Dave? In my experience they often tend to rust internally due to the pooling of rainwater. The lower wrap around door skin edge often rusts out first.

Both doors are good Don, the passenger side has been swapped at some time as when I stripped the paint off it turns out to have Been black prior to white, no sign of rust on either.
I will need to vac out all the paint dust etc.... prior to painting / refitting to make the drainage is OK, plus I have removed all the seam sealer around catches, hinges, the rain guttering etc.... so some will need replacing

Putting doors back on by yourself isn't something to do on a regular basis lol

Use those triangle things that window installers use, gets an even panel gap all the way around and it makes it easy to do by yourself. :)

Having done one I can think of easier ways when it comes to doing the other.

I will have to move the car out of the garage to get the passenger side door off as I cant get enough space on that side to open the door fully to get to the hinges.................or can I !!!!!!!!!! as I type I have just thought of a cunning plan

Ill get back to you :)

Doh, its easy when you have a think, I didnt need to be able to open the doors fully to access the hinge bolts on the door, I could get to the hinge bolts on the inner wing via the wheel arch!

Anyhoo, spoke slightly too soon about door condition , the passenger side has some surface rust at the drain holes but with the seam sealer removed and the rust sanded back it is nothing of note.
Pics to follow
