Just to add further to my previous top mounts link - they are now down to £21 each, ridonculously cheap. Mine should be here in about a week.

It made me laugh just to see this listing go up for a pair of what must be the same mounts:

Interested to hear what the quality is like & if they are actually the right ones. When I looked a while back I couldn't find any aftermarket top mounts for the ST205 48609-20240.

Did you order the shocks from cam-skill, with the rest of the bits from TCB in the end?

These arrived today on Jon's recommendation-febest front top mounts :http://goo.gl/LqiXrB

They look to be good quality and feel very robust. Will probably order the camskill shockers and all the other bits and pieces from TCB.

That of course is after I have sorted the rear subframe and polybushes, so probably in about 3-4 months time, but at least I dont need to buy top mounts now lol.

Cool, mine arrived too and I agree they look good for the money. I'm waiting for a bit kinder weather to do my shocks change but my last calcs seemed to show that there wasn't a huge amount in between camskill and TCB - the only thing being more expensive being the lower spring pan rubbers, which then they wouldn't price match (odd?). So unless you are getting other bits from TCB then it's probably not worthwhile splitting the order

I was going to re-use my upper spring pans though will probably clean them up and give them a lick of anti-rust paint, otherwise it's another 70-odd quid on the bill. This leaves you:

KYB33 shocks - £241.95
Insulator - £33.04 x2
Lower spring pan rubber - £19.63 x2
Bump stop - £11.88 x2
Top mount bearing dust seal - £5.71 x2
Del - £6.95

Total = £389.42

A bit painful to do properly.

Have I got any repetitions in there? Is that list overkill, or is everything necessary?
Just shy of £800 and that's not factoring in labour. I planned to 're-do my shocks and SSS when I take the car in to get the refurbished subframes fitted. Considering SS refurb/parts are about £500-£600 and I need to do some waxoyling as-well, it's a big cost.

So any unnecessary bits that I can remove from the list-would be good to know. Silver lining- I have the top mounts sorted. :wink:

OK bit of digging revealed the part numbers for the front kybs are 331018 and 331019. An eBay seller has the 018 at just over 100 quid but doesn't have the 019, I will ask them. Other sellers have the 019 for less than 120, so even without its still a potential saving.

I'm sorry to say I caved in and bought a full set of second hand coilovers, will fit them at policy renewal time, as I will need a mod friendly insurer. it worked out significantly cheaper, but now I have some redundant top mounts. However it has still been a useful exercise.

No worries, good luck with the coilies! My 'commute' is a rutted b-road blast and definitely not coilover territory unfortunately.
