got to agree, theyer definatly not dust free, but i did find that after the breaking in period, they wernt to bad
ive got black wheels on now, but when i had on silver wheels, i did find i had to clean them regularly to keep them looking good
but over all im happy with the yellows performance/feel over some of the harsher pads
but i would add, if your planning on doing track days maybe a harder pad would be slightly better for you
but youd also be taking onboard the fact the discs are going to get a harder life on track too

So I got the calipers back from Biggred just in time for a trackday. Usual me doing things at the very last minute!

I'm not done with the brakes yet, as I feel they can be improved. I guess that I would like them to feel as good as the brakes in my Golf GT TDI do.
Next will be some better pads... Thanks for the advice on here. They were still good enough to scare my trackday passenger with some late braking, so they can't be that bad!

Did they use genuine parts?

The bill came to about £320, which was nice.

As for whether genuine parts are used... I don't know, but I would say unlikely. They are hydraulically tested before being returned, and I am happy with that.

I considered getting mine overhauled and repainted, eventually bought D2 big brake kit, no regrets.

I haven't tried it, but others in the community have used the seller for rebuilt calipers and I haven't heard of any issues.

Hi guys. My brakes worked well during last years season of Scottish Hillclimb events, with the refurbed calipers, yellowstuff pads, and a fluid flush. Thanks again for all the previous advice.

For this year's action, I've recently replaced the leaking servo. The servo came off another ST205 and had master cylinder attached, but it was slightly larger... looks to be off an ABS model perhaps? Anyway, I fitted it out of curiosity, and the brake pedal judders and braking force seems diminished, so I'll be putting the old NON-ABS one back on. Is there a good place to get a brake cylinder refurb kit or replacement unit? Are they the same as the ST202 or Supra, or any other Toyota model for that matter?

Was the original servo leaking or was it the original master cylinder? Was any other work done at the same time?

I didn't encounter any issues removing the ABS from mine although I must confess I didn't try a fully clenched "terrain alert" braking scenario to compare braking force

Hi. The original Servo had an audible leak, which I now suspect was just at the rubber seal where the vac line enters the casing. The replacement seems good.

I've put the original master cylinder back on and refilled and bled the air out of it. Yet to take it for a test run, and I will have to bleed the whole system again no doubt. So basically, it's only the servo that has been changed.

I asked about the master cylinder kit as i'm curious where is the best place to get them for (possibly near) future reference.

Yeah, think i'll give em both a ring and see who's cheaper. Last time I was at Toyota their prices were prohibitive (and that was 'trade' discount allegedly)! That said, I did get a barrel of Forlife for cheap so hey ho.

Carbotech for me was a total came changer.....Never felt braking power like it

What are you guys using for discs. Anyone tried any J hook styled ones or best just to use grooved? MTec now do our cars and you can get coated discs with J hook pattern for £400 all in.
