Hi There,

Just got myself a GT4 WRC, it's an oldy but goody..

Wanted one for years, much more fun to drive than my Evo 6.

First job, I need to change a noisy charge cooler pump.

Is this something I can do? I am quite good with cars.

If anyone can point me to a "How to guide" That would be great.

Also where would be the best place to source parts, nee wheel bearings for the front etc...

Any advice or help is greatly appreciated

Hi and welcome.

I'm amused that you joined at exactly the same time as a spammer with your username.

Good sources of parts for these are TCB (http://www.tcbparts.co.uk) plus a few other people who appear on here for more specialised parts. 'betsy' on here does refurbished chargecooler pumps which may be the easy way to go for you.

The CC pump is on a bracket under the battery. It's not all that difficult to figure out how to change it.

You'll find the following downloads useful:

Firstly welcome! I also noticed that about the spammer and your forum name, I wondered if you were going to keep your GT-four in the driveway of a Kerala apartment for some solace?

Also if you need a replacement pump Betsy (Stephen) on here runs http://www.gt4-play.co.uk/
which does an exchange service for the unit if I recall.

To any new GT-four owner: TCB performance is where you need to go for all things service related and for OEM bits that break, drop off or just need replacing. http://www.tcbparts.co.uk/ The website is a bit dated, but it's functional and has almost anything you could want in terms of standard parts.

Camskill also stock a few bits, but are often quite pricey.

The rest depends on where you are in the country, as there are several specialists dotted around the UK. These garages etc can come in very handy for any big jobs or performance/restoration/aesthetic goals you may have in mind for the car.

Welcome Spam, where are you based?

I have just taken a pump of mine as I am going FMIC.

Would need to splice a couple of wires though as I need the plug end.

PM me if you like?

Hi Spam, As mentioned above by others, i do indeed sell overhauled Charge Cooler pumps.
A few guys on this forum have been running my rebuilt pumps for a while now.

These pumps are stripped, media blasted, cleaned, painted, fitted with new case seals, shaft seals, bearings and brushes (there is also an option for rewound amateurs, new commentator and brushes for the ULTIMATE CC pump.
All pumps are wet tested prior to sending out.
