while going to change the rear discs (ST205)

the first bolt ive gone to undo has snapped!
and im assuming ill probably have the same problem with all four
so need some advise on this

am i looking on removing the calipers and then getting them re-threaded (as i hope not)

its obviously been done a few times by others in the past, so what's the best route?

Can you get the caliper and carrier off the hub?

If so just drill a hole in the broken bolt and then try and get a stud remover in there. I had this recently on my mr2.
Chances are the metal is pretty soft so shouldn't be too hard to drill a hole through it then a decent set of stud extractors should do the trick. (The reverse thread type)

If it's snapped further up, by the bolt head, and the caliper / carrier is stuck on there, then you may need to transport it to a garage to have the entire hub removed. Couldn't say for certain without looking at it.
