Hello all,
i guess a lot of my posts are for knowledge, so hear goes;
i know the issues of debris entering the tubby,
if there was a plit in the pipe wud your tubby perform better as there is nore air going in until some debrispile in. i have a spilt pipe and have bought a oem replacement finally. not fitted till tuesday
since this muppet took my car ( granted he fixed the hose fromhell). i have been super paranoid.
at first felt slower.pumped tyres up all ok.
the guy blew the 100A alt fuse and swapped with a 40A soldered as interim. have replaced that.
car seems more responsive.

i dont know if its better worse or same as before now.
and with this split is it sucking more or is it me. god..
talk about paranoid ne body would think i smoke drugs.

A split intake pipe will mess the fuelling up a little yes

Air will be getting into the engine without going through the AFM so the car will run a little bit lean. Best to get it replaced when you get the bit :D

I would guess the responsive thing is caused by an ECU reset. If the guy blew the fuse, clearing the ECU, then left it idling for a while to check his hose fix then it might have learned some bad habits which a reset will have cured

Remember, just because you're paranoid doesn't mean your car wont blow up lol
