Hi
I need to change my rear diff mount as its perished and is clunking quite bad, was just wondering would you go for a genuine part or one of the allegedly up graded ones on ebay.
many thanks

Get the upgraded. The oem is a poor design, and I have even destroyed a new one under stock 185 power. The 185 and 205 one are the same. Either get a poly filled one, or a solid one. A cheaper options is also polly filling the one you have, or having a plate welded in to make it solid. I have run a solid one myself for over 10 years.

I wouldn't advise solid as a little bit of give is a good idea.

I know Mixer on here (and other forums) refurbishes broken ones by removing the old material and refilling with poly. I would expect he can use harder or softer rubber according to preference. Also worth checking what TCB have on offer.

So far I've used standard ones and not had a problem, however they are expensive.

Hi
Thanks for the reply, just wanted to check that i have to drop the rear diff to get the diff mount out.
If so will it slide forward enough?

Many thanks

From what I remember you don't need to undo the propshaft but the memory is hazy. just undo the 2 front bolts plus the ones in the rear mount and the diff will do forward and down enough to wiggle the mount out.

Never done one myself, but procedure is available online...

Plenty of aftermarket options available (as already stated), or oem as well.
hope this helps,
Darryl
