It's time for Mel to have some replacement speakers as she only had 2.5 working when we met 3 years ago. Now she's down to 1.25 ish.

We're off to an audio specialist for a chat/advice/demo this afternoon.

Am I right in thinking the rears are 8" ?
I've measured one in the past, but I have a goldfish memory.

I really need help with the size of fronts. I'm sure they're an odd size, again I vaguely remember discussions on the old GT4OC about mods to get replacements to fit.

It's persisting down here in Belper so I really don't want to have a front door card off. :roll:

The front speakers are spaced out of the door with plastic mounts - you can fit 6.5" speakers directly into these enclosures no problem; with only some minor trimming of plastic if necessary. The discussions was probably regarding fitting larger sizes, but it's really not necessary IMO. If you have the system with 3 speakers on each door these lower woofers will be larger & I don't know what size is a direct fit - probably around 8".

From memory there's 2 sizes of rear speaker depending on what sound system the car came with - standard rear fill one s & larger 'subwoofers' with an enclosed black plastic box.

Thanks for this. The car is in for paint at the moment so I can measure them all up and get replacements sorted as the door cards are off anyway.
