Post subject:  Any suggestions for battery replacement?

My battery is dead after a week of non use. The trickle charger doesnt seem to charge it so i’ve been using a booster to get her started. I dont drive the car much which is partly the problem. Barely driven at all since lock down.......

So It seems like I need a new battery. The one in there is quite small, I think a mechanic had nicked the big one I had.... I dont know anything about batteries though. The car is standard except for dash cam and alarm. Both of which are programmed for minimal drain. I’d like to have the ability to leave the battery on trickle when not driving if thats an option....

Any ideas or recommendations please?

I just use a halfords battery, comes with a reasonable warranty and if you need to use the warranty you can just head to the shop with the battery. Using a trickle charger is key really if you aren't using the car very much.

Worth a solar charger for cars that aren't used much - if parked outdoors that is.

I normally go to a local factor for batteries as they're cheaper than halfords but then more likely to refuse a warranty claim due to misuse (going flat kills batteries quickly).
