Hi folks,

I am replacing my clutch soon and have a new Fidanza Flywheel and ARP flywheel bolts to fit.

Does anyone know if the torque figure for the ARP bolts would be different to the regular toyota bolts?

Toyota quote 107Nm for a new bolt and 112Nm for a used bolt.

Any ideas? :)

applies for a corolla, but the additional notes make for interesting reading.

when ricky and i fitted the standard bolts to my helix, we used nutlock to ensure they wouldnt come loose. iirc we did them fairly tight

I think I'd use Loctite on the bolt threads as well. I'm a great fan of Loctite :D ....useful safety net IMO.

Thats a nice link Andy, I have bought some of the ARP assembly compound which seems to be quite critical in achieving the correct torque.

I doubt that I will be using a loctite product as it will likely be incompatible with the assembly compound and not work / make a mess.

I'm going to call ARP this evening to find out what the figure is.

Cheers, :)

I just spoke to ARP on the phone - the torque figure is 85ftlb or 115Nm when tightened with the assembly compound. :)
