Hi there
My brakes are squeeling now and then and no amount of copper grease has silenced them; so I bought some shims from MrT.
The trouble is I have never fitted them before, and the chiltern guide has no details. Any advice would be much appreciated.
I think that the vented shim pairs up with the shiny one and sits against the inner pad (shiny one against the pistons and the vented one against the pad)...the combination reduces heat travelling into the pistons
If that is the case, the other shim (dull grey) sits against the outer pad?
The same for the rears I suspect
Here are some pictures so that you can see what I mean:

I might be way off, please don't hesitate to tell me if I have it all wrong
Off to welding course now, but will check in later
Cheers
