Tell you what, I think it will be possible, but mighty tight!

I have done a high tech 'artists impression' of what the finished article might look like

Please note I have taken no notice at all of scale or actual sizes!!

Thanks for the help, i offered this up to the bottom of the car - and i can see how the front matches in, but there are no screw holes that line up with the holes at the back of the plate. Also there is no way this'll squeeze under the brace, it's gotta be spaced somehow.

I dunno if it's really worth all the hassle - perhaps i should fit the standard plastic stuff?

I was looking to buy one of these & was told it was a right pig to fit, have been pondering its purchase for about a year now.
Do you not have to re-drill the back holes??
If you do not decide to fit it, I will buy it off you so I can use it to work on my cunning plan for the rear.

I think the rear holes do need to be redrilled, i'll keep you posted about the fitting - or not...?

It seems to be short of a gearbox cooler vent too!

:?: :?: :?: stock gearbox cooler gets its air through the front grille and this exits through the engine rad.....or were you thinking of something else? :?

On my trays there is also a moulded vent which directs air at the GB/Transfer

Not sure if it's necessary but it sure is there

Maybe if we had someone with Jodderel bank sensor oil temp data from the gearbox........ :D :D

This too is present on our cars. Whilst the oil cooler for the gearbox is at the very front of the car there is also additional cooling provided by directing some of the oncoming air directly at the gearbox.

I would be loathed to loose this cooling duct...
