The ex-Carlos Sainz TTE ST185 was seen in action last weekend at Stoneleigh Park as part of the Slowly Sideways GB display for the International Historic Motor Show. This was its first appearance since July last year when it blew a turbo on the Eiffel Historic Rally. Sourcing the genuine parts to rebuild the turbo proved quite interesting!

The fuel tank was almost empty so we were all hoping there would be enough to reach the start of the stage and refuel with Elf 104 octane Race Fuel. At around £4/litre and high consumption this is a thirsty and expensive beast to run!
There were a lot of very knowledgeable enthusiasts keen to find out more.

Somebody decided Mike had better sign a blood chit (indemnity form) This wasn't just a simple one page affair either and took for ever to complete.
