Was a great event this year with some very close racing to the final minutes. I am sure our resident motorsport anorak will be along to provide pictures and correct information.

Firstly I would like to say a big thank you to a couple of people that made the event much more comfortable, enjoyable and really put themselves out to assist others:-

Firstly Nigel "The Teapot" Cornwell for his very kind offer of accomodation on the return journey and his guided tour of the local area. A good shower, bed, breakfast and good company was greatly appreciated by all. Many thanks Nigel - we owe you one.
Image

Nigel was also demonstrating his new Blitz baffle which is reported to prevent boost creep.
Image
Secondly Don "smiler" Boyack for sacrificing a fun journey in the GT4 to drive the support vehicle and carry most of the camping gear.
Image

Also worth a mention is Mike, Claire and the "Bumblebee" for providing general entertainment:- (steve is in the picture though!)
Image

Steve for getting into full french Pikey mode (but not for suggesting we purchase a 5 litre plastic barrel of "Gamay Sepage" wine which was truely horrendous but still got drank):-
Image

And all the gang (adding the two Daves & my other half Julie)
Image
Image

We had a pleasantly reserved journey along the autoroutes in convoy (Le mans stickers and supercars provided soem eye candy for our journey)

A few piccies of the event :-

JP's sentiments seconded by me. I've just finished downloading almost 1,200 pics of the trip so I will post up a select few in the next day or so.

Next year it would be nice to drive my Four so perhaps someone will be kind enough to volunteer a support vehicle...a nice Nissan Navara perhaps? (hint, hint ;-))

Oh, almost forgot....the best bit of this years Le Mans was that Allan McNish (pronounced Macneesh by the French commentator  ) won again after 11 years of trying and being cruelly robbed last year by a broken wheel nut. Top drive by him, Tom Kristensen and Dindo Capello in their Audi R10 to beat the much faster Peugeots.

Great pictures - I'll upload a few of mine later on.

To echo the others - Thanks to Nigel C for letting us stay at his house, much appreciated. :)
