Congratulations to Aussie Mark Webber for his fine victory in the British Grand Prix today at Silverstone
He's come a long way since he was my track day driving instructor!. Great drives too from the McLaren guys after a difficult practice and qualifying. The new circuit layout seemed to provide more opportunity for overtaking although most drivers said they missed the Bridge/Priory section on the old layout.
Anyway, here are a few pics from the morning practice and qualifying on Saturday
Mark Webber drove to a storming victory after having to give up his new front wing to Vettel. As Eddie Jordan said, Peotic Justice
Lewis Hamilton qualified 4th which was a minor miracle in a car which still lacks the outright speed of the Red Bulls.
He managed to keep close to the Red Bull in the race and keep Mark honest
Nico Rosberg's Merc seemed to working a lot better after changes made after the disastrous showing in Valencia.
He still seems to have the legs on Michael Schumacher in qualy and the race endding up taking the final podium spot in third place.
Jenson Button climbed from 14th through to 4th place at the end, great drive after a crap qualifying
Forme Toyota F1 SuperSub Kamui Kobayashi had another strong run to the points in the Sauber finishing in 6th place
