I have spoken with lydden hill.

Tickets Are only available on the gate, entry from 5-9pm on the Saturday to set up camp is earliest allowed, alternatively Sunday morning. I suggest we need to plan amongst us on tents, arrival and equipment depending on numbers. Make it 1 big camp and save doubling up on equipment.

If we can form an orderly list with equipment we can provide and equipment we need to borrow/ share it would be a good starting point. Out of those going who will be taking a gt4? I may consider suggesting a formal club stand as the Subaru guys have had previously. Any thoughts?

I'm not averse to taking the 185, although i was planning on using the skoda purely for comfort and room :) .
Equipment wise i have a 2ring gas cooker and plenty of gas and might find some other bits in the garage. What i dont have is a tent of any description.

Or, more likely, mud :(

I have a tent and various camping gear - chairs, a single ring cooker, plates cutlery etc etc. I think I also have another tent suitable for one (or 2 very good friends) if push comes to shove

If JP brings the ubertent ther'll be room a plenty for you Clive

Ok time to start and get organised?

I will be bringing...

1) big vincent van gogh tent - 2 bedrooms with large communal area and entry porch - Kindly donated by Nigel C. (I think it s an 8 man tent and if Clive wants to crash in the communal area he is welcome).
2) foldy BBQ (ordered)
3) a foldy chair for me.
4) a foldy table seats 6 at a squeeze for dinner
5) a camp bed for me.

CDB is bringing
6) Single ring burner - and some gas I hope

I think I have a spare foldy camp bed and chair if anyone wants to borrow.

Charcoal/lighting fluid and beer wodul be handy too :-)

So who is definitely coming?

I'm coming. Weather looks set fair

I have or can lay my hands on
1 or two cookers
water jug
plakery (it's like crockry but plastic  )
enough pots to brew up
spare chair or 3
Spare hangover for Sunday and Monday
Various lighting type devices
spare tent if the weather is good
Probably an esky if I ask nicely
plus tent and gear for myself

Will probably have room for charcoal beer etc

Do we want to set up then make a food/beer run or bring with us?

I'll be there. Worst case is I'll need to duck out for a day if I get a call out from an important site, and hopefully I have cover for most.

Will bring tent/airbed/sleeping bag/chair for me.
Single ring cooker & gas. Big fry pan & saucepan.
Powered cool box.

Suggest we do a food & beer run once we've set up camp to save it heating up on the journey.

I will be bringing food & beer just in case I arrive late.

It is a bit out in the sticks so canterbury is nearest supermarket I know of. There may be something in Hawkinge or Dover ( a bit nearer) but I don;t knwo where they are! There is nowt in Denton the nearest village.

To give you an idea Canterbury is about 8-10 miles away.

Steve - Are you bringing a tent for yourself then or sharing the big tent?
