Lydden Hill has just announced it has secured the 2011 round of the european ralycross event over the Easter weekend of 23rd - 25th April 2011.

Clive & I have previously attended on final race day and it was a fantastic day. Spectator viewing is very good, action is non-stop and you can even wonder around the paddock and geek up on some very nice high HP 4wd rally monsters. There is normally some old Group B stuff kicking about but with heavily tweaked engines.

They are also offering limited camping spaces for the foolhardy amongst you :-) At least this year it is a couple of weeks later so may be drier/warmer.

I'm in, camping & all if others are.

Some of the most spectacular racing you'll ever see, and an excellent venue.

Ah! A dirty weekend, love the idea. I think I'm in with Doug and Jamie along for the ride too!

Just a thought, I hope we're allowed a BBQ or there'll be trouble! Not to mention we'll all starve

Are you guys organising the bookings with Lydden Hill or should we contact them directly to make the bookings?

Ok, I will call them direct tomorrow and ask them what camping spaces are left and what has been booked for the gt4dc. I will update the post when I have spoken to them.

Hold fire guys,
I will speak to them today and advise on situation.

They have updated the event information...

It is now just the Sunday and Monday they are advertising with camping being for just the Sunday night. Ideally I would like to go on the Saturday evening - set up camp, get BBQ going and beer out ready for Sunday :-)

Thanks for the links CDB. We will have a look when we get home from work.
