Heads up for anyone interested in having a hoon round in a field.

http://www.bdcc.org.uk/page48.html

Bournemouth car club slaloms are normally forwards only and fairly open so suited to large high power cars (the club is largely stage rally based).

Being on grass, wear & tear on engine, drivetrain and tyres is minimal.

Always good fun and very good value for money at £20 entry fee, plus you need to join an invited club (normally about £15/year for most clubs)

No car preperation or helmets necessary.

If so are you still planning to camp over he night before?

Not keen on the competing thing, I like my superstrut too much  but a bit of a social might be good weather permitting

Will be camping so should be good for a laugh.
Hopefully the 185 will be running. Bottem end's done and now have EGT sensors and matching tap so head should be on this weekend.

No superstrut on the mundano is there ? ;)
Got another GT4 going and his dad has entered a lexus

What an excellent weekend, a huge thanks to the organisers. Barbie plus a keg of doom bar at 1-25 per pint or a tenner for all you want :) , oh and a real camp fire thanks to Lewis & Alex.

We were VERY lucky with the weather with only a couple of short showers between arrival on Saturday afternoon and event finish.

Steve was taking pictures so hopefully he will post some up.

Oh, and don't mention the results

An excellent weekend in a field indeed.

Many thanks the the organisers and Chris for the passenger rids which were entertaining with a capital "we're gonna die, we're gonna die.....we're still alive  "

I did get a few shots, will upload them in the next couple of days

Chris was actually first in class until a mid event re-classification pushed him further down.....I can't seem to remember the results after my attempt at creating a Gurney bulge using a large yump and the only large dense thing I had on me

I've not got that many - Too busy having a hoon in Chris' car (hence the lack of pictures of you Chris)

Here's the best of them I have. Full versions are available if anyone wants them

In No particular order, runners ans riders are

Grey CS, matching wheels :- Lewis and Alex
Grey 185 odd wheels :- Nibbles de Bear
Black 205 :- Dan (animal66 )
White Soarer ( ) Dan's dad Phil, probably still po'ed about that last WT

It was fun :)

Too fun for me though as I was thrashed by all 3 novices

Congrats to Lewis & Alex who took 1st in class and 1st novice. Can't remember which was which though.

Ah well can only hope I'll be better next time around at it :)

results now up

http://www.bdcc.org.uk/grassslalomjuly2011results.pdf

Seems I was mistaken, only beaten by 2 or the novices and only by a few seconds. Must have misread the results on the day.
