Congratulations to Jonny Milner who drove his nitrous turbo-supercharged groind effect ST205 based Celica GT-Four sprint car to second overall in yesterdays final top ten shootout at the annual Goodwood Festival of Speed. He was in with a good chance of winning but slid wide onto the grass and lost time to the Lotus 88 Formula 1 car drive by Dan Collins (complete with trade mark furry ears stuck to his helmet!)

Adrian Smith finished only one second slower in a fine fourth place in his Gen 7 based Celica GT4X. He ran nitrous virtually all the way up the hill to keep in touch with Milner however Michael Bartels in the ultra successful Maserati MC12 GT car snatched third. The commentators were amazed that such a standard looking tin-top could beat so many F1 cars and Le Mans prototypes.

I'll post some pics up this evening including the Toyotas on the rally stage and the GT-One Le Mans car and the LFA Nurburgring 24 hour car.

the audiofeed was excellent, i was listening pretty much all yesterday afternoon :)
milner only lost out by half a second, i guess going off onto the grass cost him at least that much

still, a great effort from toyota :)
