Anyone coming down from Bristol area want to convoy? I'll be heading out of town a bit after 11.

Also there are a few people for the GT4OC convoying over from the Bournemouth/Poole/south dorset area, I believe they are all meeting up in Blandford - if any of you guys from those parts want to join them?

Bunch of grannies

Budget about 1 1/4 hours in average traffic from Blandford. Route - Shaftesbury - Gillingham - Bruton - Shepton Mallet
Marked on Map. Note, this is not the route given by Google / satnavs as standard.

Avoid the main Blandford - Shaftesbury A350, it's all 30 limits and slow vehicles. Follow signs to Sunrise Ind. Est. at Blandford to get you on the right road.
Avoid using the Stur. Newton route the satnavs tend to favour, again very slow compared to Shaftesbury / Bruton.

The route I've shown from Shepton to Cheddar is old roman roads, very fast and goes down through the gorge so you'll get an extra run at it . Be cautious if you don't know it as it has a few blind / nasty bits including one where it goes single track just round a blind bend.
